IB - International Baccalaureate


  • The IB (International Baccalaureate) program is one of the most challenging high school curriculum that was founded in Switzerland in 1968. Subjects in IB are divided into six different groups of studies in language and literature, language acquisition, individuals and societies, sciences, mathematics, and arts
  • For the IB curriculum, each student is required to take at least six subjects with three high levels and three standard levels. All students are required to take at least a subject in sciences, mathematics, individuals and society, studies in language and literature, and language acquisition. However, for students who take two subject two subjects in studies in language and literature, no subject is required for language acquisition.

IB Score

  • The total possible of IB is 45, 3 points for TOK (Theory of Knowledge and) and EE (Extended Essay) and 42 points for your 6 classes.

Collage Application for IB

  • IB Examination for your subjects (Paper 1, paper 2, and paper 3)
  • Two Individual orals for two languages courses
  • Four IA if you don't have an art class
  • One extended essay for one of your subject
  • SAT or ACT scores for your collage application (Optional)

AP -Advanced Placement


Advanced placement is a curriculum by the Collage Board, which offer high-level (university based) subjects and examinations to high school students. Many American colleges and universities grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores (usually a 5 or four) on the examinations.
